What's the latest?

Well, I've ditched the FMIC (front mount intercooler) setup to return to SMIC (side mount). OEM intercoolers replaced with larger DSM cores.

The FMIC caused compressor/turbo surging at low loads (-10 to +5 psi cruising) and nothing seem to fix that.

New DNP pipes SMIC pipes completed installed and alcohol/water injection equipment moved over (behind passenger headlight). No more compressor (turbo) surge! Runs great!

New Setrab 920-8 oil cooler to be installed next week to a front mount location for better oil cooling. The OEM oil cooler is smaller and mounted behind the drivers side intercooler.

Right now no further plans on engine other than a few AEM tuning tweaks. After that it can FINALLY get into the body shop for some changes (new hood, sail panels, etc.).

Sometimes soon the new clutch & flywheel will have to go in. Dyno run in October had to be halted at 18psi as the current clutch kept breaking loose at 480AWHP.

Thanks for visiting.

FMOC (Front Mounted Oil Cooler) is installed and works excellent. Nice temps, about 3/4 qt. more oil too for extra cooling.

I recently installed a Smartire pressure and temperature monitoring system. It provides real time feedback of all 4 tire pressures and temperatures in the cab. Still new so no feedback but so far it seems to be a great system. Very handy to quickly check your pressures. It also has a slope adjustment so increasing tire pressure from raising temperatures is adjusted for. Pics on Interior Photo section.

BOV and Oil catch can relocate finished. Much cleaner and better access. Pics on the Engine photo area at lower part of page.

Completed the install of the tire pressure monitor and the Electric Exhaust Cutout.

The TPM is handy. Only thing I don't like is you have to be moving to view tire pressures (turns off if you sit in order to conserve the batteries in the wheel sensors that are inside the tires.

The Electric Cutout (QTEC) I really like. Fast response, good seal. I installed in further down from the downpipe but before the exhaust "T" to the split into 60mm outlet pipes. So when 100% open the exhaust is straight 3" all the way. It has a deeper sound than just an open downpipe. And of course it is MUCH louder. Also convenient is the ability to have pre-sets of % of opening. 0-100& open is very quick (< a few seconds).

Here some pics of the Cutout and also the two controllers installed (had to resort to the center box/tray which is okay because direct and regular access to them isn't required for normal driving). The nice thing is to be able to have to full 3" cutout but remain street-legal with a simple push of a button.

New SPEC Clutch and lightweight flywheel is installed. Now to break it in for 500 miles and then redyno the car for higher PSI.

New seat leather - finally got around to getting it installed over a weekend.
